hey theres a problem that alot of you guys will or would of haved to have faced.
take a Grp C race car for example , over its compertition life it would of seen its self raced in many different liverys and sighn work over many different owener/drivers.

so whats the go do you restore your car to the standard of its highest profile owener driver or do you restore it to its highest winning level.

to me its first incornation is its truest but then again if its been raced buy say a P Brock for example you know its gotta be worth more dallars as he raced it.......
share your thoughts

Your livery must match the mech. spec., so if you're a pot hunter, you'd run the livery that went with the fastest spec. If your car was driven by a famous driver or your favourite driver, then you'd be tempted to recreate that livery. Or if it was well known in a particular livery it would make sense to recreate that or you could simply choose the one that looked nicest.

This is a dilemna i find myself in atm. My car ran from 1986 - 1993 in quite a few different liveries, but with little change in mechanical spec., so i have quite a few liveries to choose from. No one famous ever dove my car and it never won anything, so i just have to choose a livery that looks good/is easy to paint.

I had my heart set on 1990 ATCC, but I still can not find a still photo, only grainy video footage. I'm now starting to lean towards 1987 ATCC. It's a lot more masking for the painter, but it might look better. I don't like the 1988 or 1989 ATCC livery and i have never seen the 1991 ATCC livery. I quite like the 1993 ATCC livery, but I assume that's not eligible for Historic Group A????
