Went to my normal supplier today to buy some 20 litre drums of BP 100 and they advised that BP will no longer supply them with 20 litre drums. I went to another supplier and they report that they are now only making it in 205 litre drums. One of the suppliers also said they are not making it at all. I find the last statement hard to believe. Can anyone on here offer any insight to either of the claims?

Peter, I had the same story with Shell 100. I was told Shell are no longer producing it. I have ordered a 205 litre drum, however they have told me that will be the last available.
So I guess it's time to start investigating what changes are necessary to run on 98 octane.

Am having a hard time finding a supllier outside of buying it at the track. My understanding is that new regs came in about storage and selling the fuel and that most suppliers cannot justify the extra cost involved for the ability to sell the fuel.

Thanks for replies. I have a number of solutions with my worst case scenario being buying it in 205 litre drum from local garage.

All good at present as picked up 100 Litres today.

I had to purchase a 205 same time last year and i,m getting low again now, I simply contacted the archerfield airfield (0732771298) and the guy was more than happy to flog me one and helped me roll it into the panel van, they took a credit card and offererd a tax invoice. I think it worked out to be around $2.50 a litre inc and thats alot cheaper than detinating a motor.. Perhaps some of us in sth east Qld would like to go halfs or quarters, bring a clean 60 litre drum and the cash and we could organize it.
