Welcome to new Group C/A Website

It's been a long time coming but welcome to the new Group C Touring Car website. We've totally changed the format to run as a vBulletin Board which we hope will make the site more user friendly for members and guests alike.

The vBB format allows us to take afavantage of many features that were not available on the old site.

First thing to do is register, and here I would encourage you to use your real name rather than a nic. We are a small community and it always helps to know who you are conversing with.

We have created a financial members only section which contains specialist technical information, club newsletters and allows members to chat "offline". Once registered, can you send an email to webmaster@groupc.org.au with your Membership No. and you will be given access to the members forums.

We will continue to populate the site with info and photos over the next couple of weeks, but if you have any comments (good or bad) please do not hesitate to let us know. Feedback is good and only with your help can we make the site better for all.

With regards to registration, I've changed the method to Approval by Admin before a new user can post. This is due to the large amount of bogus registrations we have been getting, and their subsequent spam posts. :mad:

What that means is that you won't be able to post immediately at the time you register. I'm usually on here several tiomes a day so hopefully your registration won't be delayed by more than a few hours, and will certainly be done within 24.

Also just a quick reminder that if you are a financial member, send me a mail or PM with your membership number and I'll activate your access to the Members Only area.

Thanks all for the comments, but really the success of the website depends on YOU.

Since we are few and spread wide around the country, a website is the ideal way for our group to communicate. I've just provided the vehicle to allow all those who have an interest in Group C/A cars to share info, enjoy some friendly banter and discuss issues which will impact on our sport.

So don't just lurk in the background, get registered and join in the discussion :)
