I may have interpreted the FIA speak incorrectly, but have a read through this document, released on the 28/10/09
http://argent.fia.com/web/fia-public.nsf/A479CFDE19A21D01C125739100476093/$FILE/Annexe%20K2010_28.10.09.pdf (http://argent.fia.com/web/fia-public.nsf/A479CFDE19A21D01C125739100476093/$FILE/Annexe%20K2010_28.10.09.pdf)
Then scrolling down to Page 120, read section # 3, Provision J.
Is a homologated touring car 1982-1990 what you would refer to as Gp A, in FIA speak? I would think so?
This is great news for many reasons and the thought of tackling Spa or the Nurburgring in a local car, can now be a reality, but it has some interesting ramifications regarding prices and not wanting to be chicken little, in keeping cars local.
I think we all knew it was only a matter of time, now lets see what comes of it. On a side note, I would also recommend that if you are "nearly there" on a Gp A purchase, that you speed it up a bit!
Cheers, Chris.
