Hi All,
As most are aware, I ( David Holc ) was appointed the Vic Group C eligibility officer late last year.
I have an issue which I need the support of ALL the competing Group C & A members to rectify, so with your support I can present our objection to this matter and have a good case to present to CAMS to have this " loop-hole removed".
Basically an oversite of the CAMS Historic system allows cars that are competing at historic meetings on temporary permits to be eligible to hold lap records in their class. This means that cars that do not hold a complete C of D because of various reasons including incorrect mechanical specification are still able to ( and currentlly hold ) lap records that may stand until the end of time !
I believe this is totally wrong and unfair to all who are doing the right thing presenting and racing their cars in the correct specification.
So to strengthen my position on this matter, can everone that competes in the class, please e-mail their support to the following addrress so i can present your support to CAMS to not only remove this loop-hole, but also remove the current lap records that have been recorded with cars competing on temporary permits and therefore unvarified specification.
