What happened to the Capri thread?? Surely we haven't begun to censor the forum over that spat?

I think the post opened up a big can of worms.

But in respect of the vehicle I think it's put me off.
Knowing that it's been re-shelled raises several questions
1. could it get a CofD?
2. were repairs / changes made that will significanly reduce it's heritage value
3. was it repaired back to original specs

I posted it to advise the sale of what was listed as a former Group C race car...

As for what happened after the intial post - i think whoever removed it needs to check the definition of the word 'forum'.

I agree redesp, but the car is up for sale and maybe a buyer is out there who is prepared to buy it knowing the story, now the ad has gone and the seller has less chance. Just maybe it complies with the CofD rules under the graded system (which I don't agree with by the way) but that's for the Historic Eligibilty Commision to decide isn't it?.

I agree with the "Mod" for removing it, as the post was getting out of context & keeping it going, was NOT in anyone's best interests. However, I think the topic is healthy to get "out there", rather than fester away and seemingly it is not as sorted as I thought too?

Then hopefully the topic can be made crystal clear and someone in a position to do so, could make a definitive statement on the eligibility of Group C and A cars that have been re-bodied, or have an unclear history?
