Our next championship event is the annual HRCC Historic Meeting at Morgan Park, Warwick QLD on the weekend of the 24/25th July.
Entry documents are available for download here and on the home page.
It looks like being our best year yet for entries with a strong southern contingent coming up. If you are going could you let me know here or PM or call me so I can do some planning for the event.

I've done the course commentary at this meeting for the last couple of years and it's a great event. The track is very challenging with 12 corners in it's 2.1km length. Undulation, some tight esses, some tighter than others, a fast kink and a long sweeper over a blind crest! A bit of everything. The surface is in excellent condtion, very smooth and 12m wide.
The track is operated by a motorsport club, not a business, so it's run by enthusiasts for enthusiasts and the profits go back into the facilities, not some bloke's pocket! Every time i go there i see new improvements. The major paddock access roads are sealed, there are heaps of garages, with power and the canteen is run by the club, not some dodgy caterers, so you can actually enjoy the food and it won't send you broke.
I'll get off my soap box now and hopefully I'll see you there. The track is an amazing leveller, in Group Nc the top Toranas, Mazdas, Escorts & Capris match each other's lap times, even a very good Mini can get to the front. If you're still not sure, ask Kevin Heffernan, Steve Land & Bo Seton, they love the place and they've been around a track or two.

Some will need to check the year this car represents?
If this Rx7 had a 13b in it, it should be classed as over 3000cc(class A)? That was a trade off to run a 13b in the Rx7's around 1982 I recall.

It's looking like a good turn out.
I have a list with 24 on it, of which 4 are maybe's. You usually loose a couple in a the run up to the event but I'm still hopeful we can get to 18 and maybe even 20 :)
Bring your winter woolies though, Warwick in winter is a C O L D ol' place. Better pack a bottle of your favourite poison as well to keep that cold at bay during the night ;)

Cold is a relative term Nev. It will probably seem quite pleasant to southerners. Winter in Warwick is usually very dry with a temperature range of 0 to 20 degrees.

Wayne Clift's deluxe coachlines vk should be right to go. We sent the entry in this morning and the car is being straightened as we speak. Could be a race against the clock to get it back and put everything back in. hopefully we'll be there. but yes bring warm clothes, it's surpisingly cold down there.

The class structure for Rx-7s was all about the engine porting. All peripheral port engines (12a & 13b) were classed as over 3000cc, while bridge ported engines were under 3000cc. Some early series 1 guys ran the bridge port before the "Moffat era". Gerry Burges & Jim Myhill are 2 that come to mind.

Well that was a great weekend had by all. Congratulations goes to the race winners, class winners and those that broke lap records.
A big well done must also go to the HRCC for keeping a 270 car field well organised and on time. There are a few improvements to be made for next year, namely the method for determining the handicap starting positions and having separate trophies for Group C & A for the John French feature race, but overall it was a well run event.
Finally a big thank you to all those who entered and made this years event our largest and best ever. Hopefully we’ll see you all again next year!

Guys, let's not rub it in - I won't be able to show my face in Brookvale anymore!
I actually have Frank to thank for the success on the weekend. One of my master cylinders failed prior to qualifying, causing all sorts of interesting braking during the qualifying session.
After exhausting the local parts suppliers on Saturday morning without any success, as well as the Holden camps on track, Frank came to the rescue with a spare, which enabled me to continue to compete over the weekend.
So, despite his questionable choice in cars, he's not too bad a bloke after all.
Thanks Frank!
