Hi Guys,
I have had a genuine Group A GTR offered for me to sell. It is a Nissan works built Godzilla that ran a very attractive, famous livery & won a lot of races. After our import duties, it is not a bargain by any means, but a seriously nice car with a good international history, that will be a great investment when Gp A Historic racing goes global. The car is located in Japan and I have an experienced Japanese fluent, European origin friend, who will negotiate on our behalf, for an interested party.
Cheers, Chris.

Was this car built here or is it one built in Japan?

I will refrain from a "rare Japanese built Nissan" Smart-alec comment, as I know where you're coming from. It's not a Gibson Mobile, the car raced Gp A, in Japan and SE Asia in its day. Please PM or email me for more details.
Cheers, Chris.

Hi Guys,
The owner of this Godzilla is getting very keen to sell the car and it is now priced in the 'acceptable' bracket, for someone wanting the ultimate Gp A car.
Please PM or email me on chris@bowdensown.com.au if your curious.

It warms my heart that only 3 of the 1000+ people who have looked at this thread have attempted to contact the buyer direct :)
Yes, to have a culturally significant racer leave your home shores is not a nice thing and will likely have two effects:
1 Make the locals appreciate what they have and how they are unique and globally desirable.
2 Bump the asking prices to all get-out.
We are fortunate that most of our Gp C Cars are only really eligible to race here, or they would end up like all the D-Types, C Types, 300S Maser's, Alfa's, GT40's etc that have left these shores for bigger economies and stronger currencies, with rational import duties.
You could make a strong parralel and argument that the Gp A R32 GTR is a latter day D-type: Both had large technological advances over the competition, both dominated for a few years and both were raced in limited numbers. The only differences is that the GTR can still be purchased for LESS THAN WHAT IT COST TO BUILD and that the D-Type is not a sure-fire top ten finish in their historic class.
Cheers, Chris.
