I asked the question previously, but that was lost with the change to the new forum, now I notice we have a few more active members to canvass.

If we are to get a spot on the programme for the 2010 Bathurst 12 hour or the 2010 Bathurst Festival of Sporting Cars, now is the time for our committee to start talking to the promoters.

What do the Competitors think? If we got invited, would you enter? How many cars could we muster?

If we get a chance to race at Bathrust in 2010 it will be for genuine cars only. However, FoSC will allow non genuine Group C & A lookalikes to run in regularity.

it would be great to race there, but who's got the budget to run and is prepared to risk a valuable car in a concrete tunnel like Mt. Panorama? One mistake by someone else and your investment could be scrap metal!!!!:(

I understand your concern, but Bathurst isn't that dear, it's only double the cost of a normal meeting, and it's an amazing experience you will never forget. The risk of walling a car is always there at any track, at Bathurst you simply have to respect the circuit and drive well within your limits. I would imagine the members of this association will drive with an appropriate level of care.

i was apprehensive my self in 07's festival off speed commadore cup got dropped for what ever reasons so i leased a HQ.
well the first 3 laps were.....well.....i...........
I SHIT MY SELF! full stop but as the weekend went along i found it no different then any other race day, i mean i was 3 wide through mc philamy (my fave)3 wide threw the chase and i even beat our local HQ legend D Ling.

at the end of the day your car was built to run there and if i can hold a HQ to the boards with no prior expereance in either the car or track you'll be fine.
enjoy the day and the people that are just like you.
