For Sale- 1974 Triumph Dolomite Sprint Group C (A) Race car
(ex Ron Hodgson/Bob Morris/Alex Surplice/Philip Larmour)
One of the two ex-British Touring Car Championship cars purchased by Ron Hodgson in 1974 and used as the prototype for the Leyland Australia/Hodgson Dolomite Sprint Race Team.
After 29 years of ownership it is time to move on from my much raced Dolomite Sprint. This car is arguably the most raced Group C Touring Car in Australia and has raced for all but two years in the last 29.
Currently set up as an Improved Production Car, all parts to convert it back to Group C (or Group A) specification come included in the purchase. A weekend's work would see the car back to Group C specification.
No C of D as this will allow the purchaser the flexibility to spec the car to whichever year they desire.
• Fresh paint
• Fresh engine (less than 8 hours running).
• 2 x 48 mm Weber DCOE carburettors.
• Powr-lok LSD with uprated axles.
• Four speed gearbox with uprated overdrive.
• 8 x BBS three piece wheels with slicks and wets.
• Dry brake Valve and plumbing.
Lap times- Eastern Creek 1min 55s Wakefield Park 1min 12s (on Yokohama A048 semi-slicks).
