It is amazing, just how few photos there are of these cars on the 'net.
Dick ran 19" diameter wheels on the XE, I can't remember the rim width, but it was huge!

Thanks for the comments.....19" x 14 3/4" Now the V8 Supercars should look at decent rubber like that...! I have more to come.

Hi Guys,
Some of you will remember me from years ago. I still have my Group C Triumph Dolomite Sprint which is currently set up as an Improved Production Car.
I have submitted a photo of it from 18 August 1984 at the Oran Park 250km Endurance race at the link: http://www.groupc.org.au/forums/album.php?albumid=10.
That's me IN FRONT OF GLENN SETON! To be honest I think Genn had just been into the pits or was lapping me but I am still in front in the photo!! 1984 was good result for us in that race- the classes had been compressed into over and under 3 litres and I recall that Barry and Glenn Seton finished 1 st in class and I and my brother Mark finished second in the Dolomite.
I was at Oran Park on Saturday 28/7 for the HSRCA races and it was good to see the Group A & C cars on the track- they still look and sound great. Better entertainment than V8 SuperNASCARS.
One day the Dolomite will be converted back to full Group C specs and I will then return to racing with you all.
Cheers

Hi Phillip,
welcome to the forum. What are you waiting for? Come back to Group C now. :)

Hi David,
Thanks for the welcome. The reality is IP delivers 6-8 race meetings per year with a small field being 15 cars and some times up to 35 cars ,and that is in an under 2L race and the furthest I have to travel is Wakefield.
Work commitments and budget prevent me from travelling interstate which woudl be necessary to achieve the same number of Group C races.
Cheers
Philip

Cant you run the Dolly in Group C spec and still run in IP, that way you could run both and lend a little more weight to the Group C movement.

Have added an album dedicated to my ex Peter Williamson Toyota Supra. There are lots of pics of it about during its racing career here in Australia so I won't concentrate on them, instead I will put up photos of it before/after its 1984-87 Australian history, rebuild and pits photos, and photos of her three sisters in England, Supras build nos 2, 3 and 4. Hopefully provides an interesting change of pace.
