ORAN PARK V8 Supercars

As Group C and Group A owners we will have the opportunity to be part of the NRMA V8 Supercar Grand Final at OranPark, December 4 – 7^th . The Group C Touring Car  Association Ltd will be acting as category managers  for both categories at this event. The organizing committee will be looking for a field of 40 cars ( max grid) for racing and a group of 20 - 40 cars to take part in the demonstration runs, these demonstrations runs will be at a fast pace, say  approx 80% of race pace with no overtaking. Should the situation arise and we are over subscribed with race car entries, please indicate your preparedness to run in the demonstration runs by answering the question on the EOI form. All vehicles entering this event both racing and demonstration will be required to be compliant with CAMS 5^th category rules and regulations and to have the relevant associated paperwork, ie Historic logbook and Certificate of Description. There will be available at a realistic cost a number of marquee’s available for both race cars and demonstration cars, these will be arranged in one group at the circuit to present our cars in the best possible way.

The event hours will be ( roughly ) as follows,

Thursday 4 December, Qualifying – 15 mins @  1710hrs

Friday     5 December, Race 1 – 20 mins.@ 1710hrs,  Demonstration 15 mins.@ either 0955hrs or 1610hrs

Saturday 6 December, Race 2 – 20 mins @ 1730hrs,  Demonstration 15 mins @ either 0930hrs or 1315hrs

Sunday   7 December, Race 3 – 20 mins @  0830hrs, Demonstration  15mins @ either 1000hrs or 1410hrs

Cars participating in the Demonstrations Runs will require drivers to hold a valid CAMS license, and have their cars subjected to scrutineering safety check

Those car owners wishing to participate in either the racing and or the demonstration at this event should complete the EOI form , and together with a cheque for $150 made payable to the Group C Touring Car Association Ltd then mailed to the Group C Touring car Association Ltd, at P.O. Box 25 Ermington NSW. 1700  for registration, Actual entry forms and supplementary regulations should be available in approximately 10 – 14 days
